Scottish-born Charlie moved to South Africa in the early 2000s. Following several successful ventures with business partner, Jakes Redelinghuys, they co-founded Rogerwilco in 2008 and have since grown it into one of South Africa’s larger independent marketing agencies.

 

After graduating with a Masters in Theology from the University of St Andrews, Charlie launched his career in London’s traditional marketing world where he consulted to top brands ranging from Accenture to Tesco on marketing and media strategies. Now, as an industry veteran with more than 25 years’ experience, he’s mastered the art of deciphering clients’ business cases and producing marketing strategies that deliver quantifiable results; all of which have been the catalyst for Rogerwilco’s growth.

Although Charlie’s primary focus is strategy, research and design thinking, he has a passion for B2B marketing, which compelled him to co-author a book on the topic in 2016 with Mark Eardley (Business to Business Marketing: A Step by Step Guide – Penguin Random House).

He contributes a monthly column on digital marketing to MarkLives, judges local industry awards and regularly speaks at conferences.
